I split my time between consulting for dev-tools and enterprise SaaS teams, publishing essays & video breakdowns for 650K+ monthly technical readers, and mentoring a small cohort of engineers stepping into architecture roles.
I started writing software when I was 14 — copying PHP tutorials to build forum software for a cricket fan club. I shipped my first production system at 16 and made every mistake in the book: no indexes, no backups, no rollback plan. Every one of those mistakes taught me something that still saves clients money today.
I spent my 20s inside teams: payments, analytics, then multi-tenant SaaS. I learned architecture the hard way — the job where the best engineers ask you, “is this actually the problem?” at the right moment, and the best product managers trust you to say “not yet.”
In 2020 I went independent. For a while it was just audits and fractional CTO work. Then in 2022 I started writing publicly about what I was seeing on-site. The essays took off faster than I deserved. Now I split my time roughly 60/30/10 — consulting / content / mentorship.
I’m not a “write every framework” generalist. I’m the person you bring in when the system has started breaking at the seams, the roadmap keeps slipping, or the product-market fit is real but your architecture hasn’t caught up yet.
First paid gig — 16, building PHP bulletin boards for local small businesses on dialup.
Started as SWE at a payments company. Saw my first real production Postgres cluster — and the first outage that taught me idempotency.
Led first platform team. Built a multi-tenant SaaS kernel that still serves the company 8 years later.
Went independent. Fractional CTO + architecture audits for VC-backed startups.
Launched the creator side: essays, X threads, video essays on building systems that don’t break at 10×.

Split brand cleanly: MayankMODE (creator / motivation / social) + MayankSanghvi.com (B2B consulting / sponsorships).
Three engagement shapes — architecture review, fractional CTO, and dev-tool GTM. Every item has a price, a deliverables list, and a PDF summary you can take to your CEO.
Payments uptime, AI dev-tool GTM, multi-region SaaS perf overhaul, and a scale-up advisory CTO. Outcomes, problems, stacks, and the full decks on request.
